2017 Conference Information

We are delighted to share further information on the 2017 EUSAAP conference and postgraduate workshop with you. The event will be held on Saturday and Sunday, 1 and 2 July 2017 at Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo, Japan.

***BUS TRANSPORT ON SATURDAY ONLY*** There will be one bus for conference presenters and guests departing the Arcadia Ichigaya Hotel on Saturday morning at 9:10am sharp to take participants staying at the Grand Hill Ichigaya and the Arcadia Ichigaya Hotel to the conference venue. Please note, the bus will be there from 9am and depart at 9:10am sharp. If you are not on the bus by 9:10am we assume that you will make your own way to the conference venue.

On Sunday morning a graduate student of Aoyama Gakuin University will escort guests staying at the Grand Hill Ichigaya and the Arcadia Ichigaya Hotel to the conference venue via public transport. The costs are approx JPY170 per person (paid privately - EUSAAP does not cover any local costs). Please note, the student will leave at 9:30am sharp. If you are not in the Arcadia Ichigaya Hotel lobby by 9:30am we assume that you will make your own way to the conference venue.Alternatively, you can travel by taxi which costs approx. JPY2,000.

Participants staying at the Tokyo Stay Shibuya Shin-Minamiguchi are epxected to make their own way to the conference venue on both days.

Conference booklet: This booklet contains all information on the conference, the programme, how to get about, hotels as well as presentation abstracts. Please note that the programme below is the correct version -  please ignore the programme in the booklet due to changes that occured after it went to print.

Conference venue: ***UPDATED**** This pdf file contains a few maps for Aoyama Gakuin University as well as the Tokyo metro and subway maps. We recommend that you download it and print a copy for easier orientation.  Further information on how to get to the hotesl, conference venue and airport can be found in the conference booklet. 

Hotels: Due to the summer season and other circumstances we are using three different hotels in Tokyo. Two are located in Ichigaya, one in Shibuya. Detailed information on the hotels can be found in the conference booklet published above.

Accommodation: ***UPDATED 29 June*** This file contains your allocated hotel as well as arrival and departure dates. If not agreed otherwise, the arrival date has been booked for Friday, 30 June and departure on Monday, 03 July. Any additionally booked nights must be paid privately at check in. Important: Please note that as of today (01 June) any cancellations, partially or in full, will incur the full room costs as paid by EUSAAP. As outlined in the Call for Papers, to be eligible for accommodation presenters must have submitted a full paper and attend the entire conference. Participants not meeting the requirements will automatically be charged for the accommodation costs. 

Unless arranged otherwise in writing with the conference organisers, a single room has been booked for conference presenters. The single rooms cannot be used by two people. Postgraduate workshop participants have been allocated twin rooms (same sex only). Any additional guests staying at the hotels must be registered and pay the costs of the hotel accommodation at check in. Japanese hotels charge on a per person basis - not on a room basis. Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation. 

Paper submission: All papers must be uploaded to the EUSAAP website. Papers emailed to the organisers cannot be accepted. Please read the guideline for authors under the "Journal" page of this website. Authors can choose which of the two formats provided there to follow. To submit your full paper, please follow these steps:

  1. In the top right corner of this website click on "Login".
  2. If you do not yet have an account for this website, please click on "Don't have an account?".
  3. The link will take you to the "User Registration" page. Please complete all mandatory fields to create an account.
  4. Once you have submitted the form, you will be able to log in with your chosen user name and password. 
  5. A new sub-menu will appear: click on "Paper Upload". 
  6. Under "Paper Upload 2017" choose your file and enter your Author Name. Please do not add any other information into this field. Click "Submit". 
  7. Your paper has now been uploaded.
